# Calling Setup

> Setup Ariel to take your missed calls

  missed calls <br />
  **But** if you are on a enterprise phone plan your employer might have disabled
  the functionality, please check their guidelines

Ariel can act as your intelligent phone answering machine, handling missed calls and providing a seamless experience for your callers. This guide will help you set up Ariel with your preferred phone provider.

In the Ariel IOS app you can also go into settings to enbale call transfering.

## How It Works

When you're busy or unable to answer your phone, Ariel steps in to handle the call:

1. Your phone provider forwards the call to Ariel when you're busy
2. Ariel answers the call and listens to the caller's message
3. Ariel processes the caller's request using AI
4. Ariel responds appropriately based on the caller's needs
5. If needed, Ariel can take a message or schedule a callback

## Phone Provider Setup

1. First, contact your phone provider's customer support to:

   * Verify call forwarding capabilities for your plan
   * Confirm webhook configuration requirements
   * Check if there are any specific limitations or restrictions
